Independent Democratic Electors Association (IDEA) Announces Endorsements for the 2025 Election

NEW ORLEANS, LA – The Independent Democratic Electors Association (IDEA), a trusted voice for progress and community empowerment in New Orleans, proudly announces its official endorsements for the Fall Election on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

    IDEA Ballot

After months of rigorous candidate interviews, IDEA has endorsed leaders who are not only prepared to confront New Orleans’ most urgent challenges, but who are also equipped with bold ideas and the determination to deliver real results.

“This election isn’t just about choosing candidates, it’s about choosing the future of New Orleans. The leaders we endorse today are doers, not talkers. They’re ready to tackle crime with courage and compassion, invest in our neighborhoods, and make sure every family has a fair shot at opportunity. These will be the people we can say lifted New Orleans higher and moved us forward together,” said Marseyas Fernandez, President of IDEA.

IDEA’s endorsements reflect the association’s mission to support candidates who bring integrity, vision, and action to the forefront. The endorsed candidates are leaders who will not only listen to the people, but partner with them to shape a safer, stronger, and more equitable city.

The endorsed candidates will be featured in IDEA’s Official Ballot Guide. Voters are encouraged to learn more about their platforms and join this movement to build a brighter New Orleans.
