Lisa Stafford

Lisa G Stafford is founder and CEO of NOELA Services, LLC, specializing in advertising and print media, including the NOELA Newsletter. Started in 2006, the NOELA Newsletter grew out of a need to inform residents of important events and information related to the massive recovery effort after Hurricane Katrina. Today, the newsletter provides information about local businesses, quality of life issues, jobs, people, neighborhoods, political campaigns and events. Although the publication initially focused entirely on New Orleans East, it now covers other areas of the city as well, and is widely read by subscribers who live and/or work throughout the city of New Orleans, and former residents who live outside Louisiana. A constant champion and ambassador for the East, Lisa uses every opportunity to promote New Orleans East through her writing, which has appeared in the Neighborhood Partnership Network’s Trumpet Magazine, in the New Orleans Agenda’s e-magazine; and in interviews on local radio and television.

Lisa has a Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and has extensive technical and managerial experience gained as a computer programmer, manager, project manager, budget analyst, technical writer, and contract writer.

An active community volunteer, Lisa has donated many hours to organizations and causes such as Operation Clean Sweep, the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana, Audubon Louisiana Nature Center, KaBOOM! Playground Builds, Fort Pike State Historic Site, Patio Planters du Vieux Carre, and the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation. Using the training she received in Parkway Partners’ Tree Trooper program, she has organized and participated in multiple tree care projects.

Lisa regularly serves as a liaison between public leaders, and neighborhood and business representatives, and she has worked on several political campaigns. She has served as President, Treasurer and Secretary of the Lake Bullard Homeowners Association; Secretary of the East New Orleans Neighborhood Advisory Commission; and on the Marketing and Re-branding Committee of the Fast Forward Main Street organization. Under her leadership, the Lake Bullard Neighborhood Improvement District was established, and she served several years on its Board of Commissioners. She is a co-founder of the non-profit Friends of Joe W. Brown Memorial Park & Louisiana Nature Center.

Lisa is a Member of New Home Family Worship Center, and she is a Graduate of the Operation Hope Entrepreneurial Training Program and Puentes New Orleans’ Public Leaders Fellowship
